Did you know that in the United States we spend 58 BILLION dollars a year on our pets? 15 billion in vet care. I think that Americans value their pets. I dont want to use my tax dollars to kill animals that would be great pets. Here, when the shelter is full or the animals as sick...too bad. Killed. No money, not enough employees and on and on. Killing perfectly great animals is soul destroying. We are better than that. There are a lot of us. There are a lot of us that object to paying to kill animals. There are a lot of us who want good for our animals. We need to be a voice for our local animals. It our citizens who cause this over population and our leaders who look the other way and really have no feeling about the killing that takes place in our city. When I think of Savannah, Barney, Buddy, Lily, and Pia, I cant even imagine my life without them. I have to admit that I bought Chloe, my oldest, when I was ignorant about breeders. She is a great dog and 14 years old. I am ashamed that I bought her. I love her with all of my heart. I have learned now. I will never buy again.
