Did you know that more than 90 million investors use the services of asset managers to achieve their most important financial goals, like providing for a secure retirement, saving for college, and making a down payment on a home? 39 of our colleagues joined Rep. Delaney and I in urging Secretary Lew to be careful when it comes to potentially (and incorrectly) changing the classification of asset management companies. If they are incorrectly classified, it could hinder Americans’ ability to invest their money and save for the future with the help of an asset manager.
