Did you miss Funky Mustard this past weekend with Larry D. White and Sparky Parker as our live guest this past weekend September 6th at Pat & Rosies Night Sounds 90.1 FM KPFT Houston ??? WELL CLICK LInK NOW ..THE SHOW IS AVAILABLE ... for a limited time ....here is how it went...we started off the night playing cds ... Funky Mustard Alma De Fuego cd...Iron Horse track ...then The Rozzano Zamorano Group .Good Again..Funky Mustard Blue Moon..Michael Anthony Shanks Lone Star Gypsy....Etta James At Last.......and then at last 18 minutes into the show ... Sparky Parker and Larry White FUNKY MUSTARD ... they came onto the show and let Pat & Rosie Leech know that they are thinking of them...they reached out to all of Texas ..as Larry dedicated there first live song of the night Darkness to his mother... after they played Relish...they let me know how they came up with the name FUNKY MUSTARD...You could never name a band that!!!......There is a such thing as funky mustard and they made me hungry ....Lonely Hearts was there next song ... but they were not alone ...Don Mac called in and mentioned how he use to run sound for them at Dan Electros Guitar Bar .... he says more reverb !!!! ...So they dedicated My Home Town to Don Mac....This band has been together 13 years and having fun !!! Thats why they call it a band ... you band together says Larry White .....I commented on how they have a very beautiful unique sound as they dedicated there next song Hemisphere to Sandy Weinmann .... There next stop to play live is in New Orleans ...but you can always visit funkymustard , facebook ... and check out Bayou Monster and Bayou Monster Trio October 4th at The Sam Houston Parkway ... these bands are Sparkys other bands and this show will be supported by Fullers Vintage Guitar !!! The next songs we heard were Technicolor and Prissy ... a Teri Greene joke was said around this time... I believe these band members compliment eachother in the most ment to be way ..Corazon Rodriguez my helper really enjoyed there music as well !! ...They brought us down to Jamaica with Nine Mile ....respect !! These two men know how to play !!!....Standing Still was the next song followed by the r rated version of Lipstick .... you have to see them live if you want to see the x rated version !! .... Get a album of this amazing local band ... they have 6 and are still working !!! Good Enough was there second to last song ....they played for over a hour and still had more jam in them ... I did not catch the name of the last song they played but Ii know they went down to a drop D and it sounded so cool ... Thank you Funky Mustard for being our guest and gracing us with yalls presence ... Carolyn Wonderland What Good Can Drinking Do...Del Castillo Quireme ....Hank Lamb thought I was in the hospital ...but I was just in my tent :) ... its the way I move ...so I played Annie BarrowThe Annie B! Band The Way She Moves ...followed by our guest in November I Never Cared For You by Del Castillo featuring Willie Nelson....Guy Schwartz Rock It (NEW CD)...Alishas Quartet Alisha Jane Pattillo Freedom Jazz Dance.....Jackie Venson What I Need... Yello Echo Chris Bassett Mani Nezami Crystal Toliver Deja Vu...Jackie Venson Witchcraft...Thank you for all those who called in !!! ...we also played The Stone Coyotes Big Bad Wolf.....Shadowcasters featuring James Henry It Takes Time ....that song was for all those partying women that called in and requested them !!...Thank you to Mike for calling in and saying he will support us during our next Fund Drive !! :) It means everything to us that our community and listeners help keep us on air !!! An apology to Lord Allen Goodson for calling in and requesting Britney Spears ... we couldnt find her cd.. but around 2 hours and 24 minutes into the show... we found Rhonda Roberts and Sherita Perez RitaShe BRAND NEW CD ...and we played ..Little Spear Simple Love....and it is simply beautiful !!! ...we continued to rock out the night with Patti Smith Gloria......Bobby Blue Band I Pity The Fool ...... Bourban & Guy Schwartz 420 Funk ....Bobby Blue Band Aint No Sunshine When Shes Gone ...The Midnight Eyes Cigarette....and last but so not least ... local but international artist Zubair Al Awadi........Do you want to hear our next live broadcast featuring Shelley King and Pat Brink ???
