Did you see Campbell Live last night? John did a shocking expose on the cruelty of some of New Zealand’s pig farms. It’s not good enough that these practices are currently legal. And the Government’s proposed changes don’t go anywhere near far enough! Labour are proposing amendments to the new law. Theyd not only ban these cruel practices, but also limit the Government from being able to issue exemptions to farms breaking the rules. But so far, the Government has said it won’t support us. They don’t think this is a big enough issue for Kiwis. That’s where you come in. If they can go into Parliament with the backing of thousands of Kiwis, we can show farming practices are something we do care about, and we expect the Government to take action on. Will you add your name to a petition backing an end to these cruel practices?
