Did you she our article in the Banner yesterday, announcing our provisional class? The Cleveland Chapter of Junior Auxilary annoounces its Provisonal Class for 2013-2014. This new provisional class will be volunteering hours within JA programs along with formulating their own provisional projects. Past provisional projects have included a remodel of the shopping rooms at The Caring Place, helping girls with their self-esteem through mentoring, and organizing the first 5k for shoes event. “We are very excited about our newest provisionals! We can’t wait to see their passion and determination and see how they will improve the lives if children in Bradley County.” said Lucy Rymer, first vice president and provisional chair. Junior Auxiliary in Cleveland was founded in 1996 as a non-profit Christian woman’s service organization. Its focus represents a serious endeavor for woman to be active and constructive community participants and to assume leadership roles to meet community needs. JA of Cleveland runs more than 13 programs in Cleveland including the Teddy Bear Picnic, a big sister mentor and “Read to me” book program in the schools, Jackets for Juniors, community clothing drives. JA helps with Chair-ries Jubilee and hearing/vision screenings, sponsors a 5k to supply new shoes for children in need and works with Family Focus Welfare Program, along with others.
