Did you think we had fallen off the face of the earth?? Well we are definitely on another planet!! Quick up date..... We are moving tomorrow from our 350 square foot apartment 1.5 miles from town to a 700 square foot apartment in town. The new apartment is mold free! Jeffrey F Hansen worked at PenAir for about 2.5 months. He was sought out by the owner (a Christian who attends the Moravian church with us) of the new Subway restaurant. It was an offer that he could not refuse! He is the manager, but unlike other managers, he is paid by the hour. The Subway opened up on Monday of this week and there has been a huge response from the community! This is the first chain fast food place in Dillingham. I have a team of doctors and diabetic counselors that are working on getting my diabetes under control. We are making progress, but it is definitely a process. Of course I am Not Responding to textbook treatment. Im making progress, with Deede by my side, in doing some sewing for other people. I have lost track of how many zippers I have replaced as many residents will not throw things away but keep them even if they dont work correctly. I had one customer tell me hed waited five years for me to come to Dillingham. I am the only alterations and repair person here. Many women make kuspuks but they do not do alteration or repair. Pictured is two different styles of kuspuks. A kuspuck always has long sleeves, hood, pocket and ric rak. Our 4 month commitment to the Anchor of hope church is over, but our ministry goes on. Our love for the people of Dillingham gets stronger everyday and we enjoy serving them and sharing Gods love and Jesus salvation with them. We are extremely happy here! It is great to be in the center of Gods will for your life!
