(I am sorry to have to lay it out so bluntly but I want to ensure there is no confusion and that everyone knows exactly where they stand as an individual waiting for EUI.) They DO NOT have Retro! If you got a job you DO NOT qualify. If your State now has less tiers (ie the fake UI numbers went down - each state is different, some only have tier 1) You will ONLY qualify for future benefits as if you hit week 27 the first of July now and only for weeks remaining (Note - if the numbers continue to drop you may not qualify for all 5 months.) If you Retired early or became disabled SSDI you will NOT qualify. If you quit job hunting, you will NOT qualify. (Keep job hunting and keeping track) It is ONLY for 5 months If you qualify as Union under the Railroad benefits you will GET 1 year EUI and your state UI rate does not matter. *MY last sentence is why I cannot fight for this bill. I will stand up for ALL unemployed Equally NOT just some.
