Didnt sleep well last night as I am contemplating on several surgerys that i am facing. Kept telling myself I was fine, guess not. I agreed to have exploratory on my knee that caused me grief in Italy, that in its self is nothing. It still is not right. During the past month I learned that I need to have a total hip replacement on my right and possibly the left. Doctor is going to buy me a little time with an injection into the hip while he is working on my knee. After a long discussion with him, I have agreed my best option is then to be referred to Mayo Clinic. I understand that they can now do hip surgery with a minimal invasive type procedure, and recovery is simple. Hey, Im not that old,but now understand why I feel like I just cant make the next step. I feel like everything is creaking, and needing a little tune up. I know as you reach a certain age things hurt a little more and you go on. The doctor looked at me and asked how it is I am walking as my right hip is now bone on bone, and stated it has to be painful. Well duh, it hurts like hell. Say a couple prayers for me as im trying to put this off for a few weeks!!
