Different languages. Sam and I communicate through body languages, - TopicsExpress

Different languages. Sam and I communicate through body languages, noise, gestures and so very much through our eyes. And that seems to work just fine for us. This is one of the many weekends my daughter is with me. For those who dont know, I have a very advanced 10yo daughter who lives with her mom and who I have with us quite often. So on Saturdays we often have time for daddy-daugther outings. Today was one such day. I dont know what was different about today (perhaps it is the long two weeks of lack of structure for me and Sam), but I took so much pleasure in having real dialogue with my daughter. I was playing my progressive radio station during our outing and we were talking a lot about music. She has a great vocabulary and proper use of the language, as well as insightfulness beyond her years, not to mention musical taste that makes me proud. In fact, we talked about many things, laughed, joked, etc. We are very close and I know she is always happy to be with us, even when Sam is struggling. I am guessing many of you have the same experiences, but for me today it was simply pleasurable dialogue that I miss with Sam, and especially today made me so thankful for having her. It made my day so very much.
