(Digging Deep in the Word) Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV) Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy Name? and in Thy Name have cast out devils? and in Thy Name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. These Words of Jesus have really put many folks in “bondage” because they lack revealed knowledge of the Word. The BiG QUESTiON now is, who and who are the ones that the Lord Jesus is referring to as “I NEVER KNEW you: DEPART from Me…”? Many legalistic preachers have used this passage to establish false teachings, and have put FEAR in the hearts sincere believers. Have you ever heard some folks say somebody had an encounter in which they saw some men of God in hell”? When they make such claims, they use these Words of Jesus in Matthew as a foundation to justify why these “men of God” are in hell. But what does the Lord Jesus mean by “I NEVER KNEW you…”? What is the qualification for Him to “know” us? Let me frankly say this; once a man is BORN AGAiN, he becomes a CHiLD of God and is BORN INTO God’s Family. God KNOWS everyone that is “born of Him”. We are not “strangers” in the “Father’s House”. We have His very Life and Nature. This Life is called ZOE…it is the very essence of divinity. It is Life AS God HAS it. Once this Life ENTERS into a man’s spirit in the New Birth, a TRANSFORMATiON takes place; there is a change of nature. THERE iS NO MAN OF GOD or CHiLD of God that has ETERNAL LiFE that will go to HELL! If ETENAL LiFE steps into HELL, then HELL will BECOME HEAVEN! Yes, HELL will TURN TO THE GARDEN of EDEN! If we can’t be SURE of “making heaven” now while we are HERE on Earth, then the whole idea of following Jesus and living for Him is a hoax! Truth is this: WE ARE ALREADY IN HEAVEN! Our CiTiZENSHiP IS IN HEAVEN. We LiVE iN HiM, MOVE iN HiM, and HAVE OUR BEiNG iN HiM now! Any “man of God” that Jesus will say these “I NEVER KNEW you” stuff to will be a man or woman who was NEVER BORN OF GOD, and we have many of such pseudo ministers around in Christendom. We KNOW Him and He KNOWS us. Galatians 4:9 (KJV) But now, after that YE HAVE KNOWN GOD, or rather ARE KNOWN OF GOD, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Did you notice what Paul said? He said that we don’t just know God, instead WE ARE KNOWN OF GOD! This is a present tense reality. Child of God, FREE yourself from “another gospel” that folks are preaching now. Say with me: “I AM a New Creation; OLD THiNGS ARE PASSED AWAY. I have the LiFE and NATURE of God in me. I AM BORN of God; His GENE is me. I KNOW Him, and He KNOWS me. I am not a STRANGER in the Father’s House. I am KNOWN by the other FAMiLY MEMBERS. LOVE REiGNS in me; it is the Father’s Love Nature. I AM the RiGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ Jesus. I AM the Father’s DELiGHT; He LONGS to see me come before Him. I have my PLACE in the Father’s House; it is a PREPARED PLACE! Thank God I am BORN AGAiN”
