Digital Creative Media Apprentice(SEE FIRST COMMENT FOR LINK) Job description As an apprentice you will be working on projects developing digital communications to support services, marketing and business development activities. You will learn how to research and analyse customers and markets, how to develop innovative and suitable content for the web and other digital platforms, how to plan and execute digital communications and how to use social media as a tool for driving business. As part of the Apprenticeship you may be expected to do some or all of the following: • Researching and writing digital content including articles, email newsletters, blogs and press releases • Writing and reviewing website content and contributing to website design and development • Planning and conducting social media campaigns through tools such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn • Monitoring markets and using this information to develop new and interesting content • Researching new industries and markets and using this information to inform campaigns and communications • Evaluating the success of digital communications • Coming up with ideas for new and innovative types of content such as animations or videos and implementing these ideas Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media. This overall qualification encompasses the following qualifications: BTEC Certificate in Creative and Digital Media, BTEC Diploma in Creative and Digital Media and Functional Skill in ICT, maths and english Level 2 Skills Required: Person specification Essential • Minimum of 5 GSCE at grade C or above including English, Maths or equivalent qualifications. Consideration will be made for exceptional candidates without these qualifications. • Confident in using computers and the internet • Good questioning skills • Attention to detail • An enthusiasm for using the internet to drive business • Ability to work in a team • A positive attitude and an interest in photography and video Skills required You should be confident and have the ability to work independently (without the need for close supervision). Communication skills are vital in this role; successful applicants will be well spoken, with a clear and professional telephone manner and an ability to construct well written correspondence. Knowledge of Dreamweaver, Wordpress and Photoshop is desirable. You must be good at problem solving and have a methodical approach to tasks and problems. You must have good time management skills and be punctual for work. Qualifications required Desirable requirements are applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C (or equivalent) including English, Maths and ICT. A high standard in communication is vital.
