Diliman Prep’s own Amber Emilia Acosta’s film got Shoreisho (Honorable Mention) out of more than a dozen countries and hundreds of entries from all over Asia in the recently concluded International Children’s Film Festival held Nov30 in Minami-Awaji, Japan. The short film, entitled My Dream, Tomorrow and Forever,” was also nominated for Most Unique Film. Amber wrote, directed, edited and produced the film with with the help of her production assistants Kim Sanchez, Shane Robles and Sam Nepomuceno, all from Grade 9-Magbanua. Her entry was selected by the Natl Youth Commission & the Japanese Embassy (together with two other films from Makati Science and Tanza Natl High) to represent the country in the second edition of the festival that brings together young and passionate filmmakers from various Asian countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, and Myanmar.
