Dinner last night: at an outdoor (plastic chairs and folding tables type) Vietnamese hotpot restaurant where the menu was all Vietnamese and the waiters did not speak English. Yvonne orders a hotpot, not knowing what will come. The waiter brings the burner, pot and a plate of veggies, followed by about a dozen small fish in a clear plastic bag. Yvonne cooks the veggies first, then grabs the bag to throw all the fish in the hotpot. Turns out fish were alive, which was why they were in the bag. Result: Dave with several fish on his lap; Yvonne fallen backwards on her plastic chair with her red ankle-length skirt in the air; both of us laughing so much we couldnt talk while pointing at the other fish still writhing on the ground. Good times in Vietnam.
