Dinner tonight was the meat faucet at Espetus in downtown SF. Which is awesome in its own right because Meat Faucet, but the staff and the head waiter made it especially fantastic. When we informed them of RAs severe gluten intolerance, they not only double-checked all of the marinades and seasonings for possible gluten sources, they volunteered to clean to the knives to the point of disinfecting them without us needing to educate them about the joys of cross-contamination. Then he came back later to inform us hed made a mistake; the marinade for the pork products was wine not beer, so more Meat for all of us (K&F included, who were very well-mannered consumers of meat themselves). Yay, meat! And yay, Espetus Churrascaria!
