Director Generals Gilgit-Baltistan Job Detail DIRECTOR GENERALS REQUIRED Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), an apex body for agricultural research in the country, is looking for the eminent and dynamic Pakistani national agricultural scientists for the senior level positions of Director General, National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Islamabad and Director General, Mountain Agricultural Research Center (MARC), Gilgit. These are purely temporary vacancies sanctioned on year to year basis but likely to continue for an indefinite period. The candidates must possess demonstrated capabilities in research planning and management; ability to play a lead role in the national agricultural research system; high level of professional competence, strategic vision and interpersonal skills. The positions carry attractive remuneration package, with admissible allowances and benefits. The qualifications, experience and other requirements for the positions are given below: 1- Chief Scientist-II / Director General NARC, Islamabad: Ph.D in Agricultural Sciences from HEC recognized university 22 years experience in BS-17 and above, with 15 years post PH.D research or teaching experience at post graduate level in HEC recognized institutions. 15 research papers in relevant discipline in HEC recognized journals. Papers published in proceedings, policy papers, etc. will be considered as additional qualification. Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, implementation and management of multi-disciplinary agricultural research programs Demonstrated abilities to mobilize and utilize financial and human resources effectively. Strong communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills. Age: 56 years (in case of MP-II, age limit shall be as per Govt, rules) 2- Chief Scientific Officer / Director General, MARC, Gilgit Ph.D in Agricultural Sciences from HEC recognized university 17 years research /teaching experience in SPS-08/BS-17 and above Scientists with experience in research planning and execution and research management will be given preference 12 research papers in relevant discipline in HEC recognized journals. Papers published in proceedings, extension papers, etc. will be considered as additional qualification. Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, implementation and management of multi-disciplinary agricultural research programs. Demonstrated abilities to mobilize and utilize financial and human resources effectively. Strong communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills Candidates must have 1 st division or CGPA 3.00 or more in the highest degree with not more than one third division or grade D in the academic career.
