Director of Acquisitions #638 The Director of Acquisitions will be a crucial member of the acquisitions and business development team and will be responsible for sourcing and underwriting real estate investment opportunities in designated geographical markets with the Tri State. The Director of Acquisitions will report to the Managing Principal and Chief Financial Officer, helping them to select and execute on attractive real estate investment prospects. The position will entail a large amount of autonomy, responsibility, and attractive incentive-based compensation as well as an opportunity for significant professional advancement in a rapidly growing and well-capitalized real estate investment firm. Responsibilities: Screening real estate investments for attractiveness in accordance with the firms investment criteria and guidelines. Financial modelling and presenting screened real estate investment opportunities to the firms Managing Principal and Chief Financial Officer in internal investment memorandums. Attending industry, broker, and other social events to generate underwriting opportunities. Staying up-to-date on market conditions and underwriting assumptions. Continuously building and maintaining a network of people from which to source investment prospects. Position Requirements: Prior experience (3+ years) in real estate acquisitions underwriting (preferably in multi-family) and deal sourcing. Fundamental real estate finance and valuation knowledge. High motivation, a self-starter, enthusiastic, a phenomenal work ethic, and the ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team. Able to handle multiple complicated tasks simultaneously. Meticulously detail-oriented, extremely organized, excellent at time management, and impeccable at meeting deadlines and working with minimal to no direction. Must be a master at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. An existing large network of real estate professional contacts is preferred. An undergraduate degree is required.
