Dirty Paws III I fear for you when you are not in my sight. When I see you I imagine I am your protector. I watch over you in the pale moonlight, I guard your fragile being. However on this particular night you are my guardian. My eyelids begin to fall as my mind begins to soften. I feel darkness consuming me as slumber calls my name. But then I turn and see you. You are sitting beneath the branches of a withered old tree. Our eyes meet and you quietly walk away. You disappear into the night And I admit I am now wide awake. Perhaps I was wrong, Instead of me for you, it is you who is protecting me.
