Disappointed with a tow. My car has been in the body shop for two weeks. On September 18th my car left broken down on a flat bed and suffered thousands of dollars in damage. The tow company left it at the service center wrecked, and didnt tell them it was wrecked. I was a little surprised when a mechanic called and asked why my car was there and wanted to know who wrecked it. Someone called my wife and told her a cable broke and they would pay for everything. I talked to the tow company two more times about fixing it and getting me a rental car. They only wanted to get me a car for a few days, and wanted me to pay for it up front. They told me my car was drivable. My body shop told me I had an unstable airbag and to park the car. I called back and told the tow company I couldn’t drive the car, asked them to come get it, and bring me a rental. He told me he would call back. I advised him if they could not bring me a car I would file a claim with my insurance. I am still waiting for that call back. My insurance is fixing the car and I get to pay a deductible. AAA is supposed to save money but your tow company is costing me money and making me look around for other motor clubs.(Member wished to remain anonymous.)
