Discharged from physio Friday afternoon on account of Its not doing you much good and she wrote a priority referral for surgery to my GP...phone call yesterday asking me if I could see surgeon this morning for pre-op. Goes to see him, examines x-rays, explains procedure to me, says let me just do a few more tests to see if there is anything else other than a bone chip.... five minutes of manipulating before he says last one...pokes my hip at a certain point and not only do I scream, I climb the ceiling....Ah, he says. Bit more serious than we thought. MRI has just picked up major ligament damage - need a more detailed one to ascertaine extent next week. He is utterly amazed that not only I managed the two mile walk back to the car after the accident, but didnt go to A and E and went on holiday to Corfu a few days later. Moral of the story. Picnic baskets, dog walking and rabbit holes. A dangerous combination.
