Disclosing my HIV+ status openly this time on national tv has been received with mixed reactions. Im not the first one and not the last. I did it just to add a voice even as we break the silence and defeat the stigma attached to living with the virus. It is my way of giving a humane face to this health challenge.Let us accept that this is a big challenge in our families,workplaces,relationships etc. I am open and owe it to God who has given me the courage to help others realise that being positive is not the end but the beginning of a new phase in life.
