Discover New Location Sundays! This time we will tell you about Fujeirah. This is one of the 7 Emirates and unlike others it is located in the Gulf of Oman while other 6 Emirates are in the Arabian Gulf; and the difference is so obvious you dont have to be an expert. the Mountains in Fujeirah are so magnificent. The landscapes keeps you wondering whether or not you are still in UAE. total change of scenery. Fujeirah is a beautiful place and has its magic to it. The port is a place where the clean beaches offer a great place for water sports. Surfing, swimming, deep sea fishing and yachting is only some of the activities you can do there. Ain Al Madhab gardens are located in the foothills of Hajar Mountains just out of Fujeirah. It includes park area, Heritage Village, mineral spa, outdoor theatre, ruins of Fujeirah. The Heritage Village depicts the traditional way of life for residents of the Emirates. You can find traditional houses there, their farming tools etc. The village is an excellent way to witness yourself the lifestyle of the residents in the past days. Fujeirah Museum is located south of the Fort, Opposite Rulers Palace. The museum will make you feel as if you time traveled 3K years back in time. It displays artefacts found during Bithnah and Qidfa, items discovered that date back to Bronze Age. Bull Butting has originated in Portugal, however with years it has become so popular that now a days you can find it in Fujeirah as well. Every friday it begins with 20 bulls and by the end of each round there is a winner that moves to the next. Local Natives and their families and tourist all gather there to witness this excitement. Al Hayl is a historic castle that was made more than 250 years back and has been used for defence, surveillance and patrolling. However in 21st century it is the royal head quarters. Al Badiya Mosque (as locals call it) or Ottoman Mosque (is the name it got for the man who built it) is one of the oldest mosques in the UAE it was named after the historical town that was once embracing it for centuries. As it was mentioned at the beginning of the post Fujeirah is located to the east of the UAE and due to geological topography it is renowned for its Wadis. Wadi Ham is the largest and longest. Wadi Wurayah is a very popular place to visit. It is easy to get there by car, the roads are small and nice. the view is amazing, there are mountains on both sides. Masafi village is along the edge of Hajar Mountains near Fujeirah and it is divided in to 2 parts. The larger is a part of Fujeirah whilst the smaller is part of Ras Al Khaimah. Masafi means pure water in arabic and the village is known for its natural springs. The Gulfs drinking water Masafi originates from there. There is a Friday market open all week long in the village. There are many items to purchase in the market and best of all you get to bargain for it:)
