Discover Union Township Saturday, November 9 Take advantage of the opportunity to learn about the villages of East Liberty and Merwin, and how Glen Este and Tobasco received their names. Learn about the oldest pioneer road in this part of the United States, and the creation of Aicholtz and Baldwin roads and the Ohio Turnpike. Find out where the trains came through the township and where their depots were. Interested in old churches? Lean the location of the second oldest Baptist Church in Ohio. The bus will leave the Union Township Civic Center, 4350 Aicholtz Road. The tours are free, but limited to the first 20 registrants. To reserve a seat on one of the tours please contact Union Township at 752-1741. These tours will be given by Rick Crawford, local historian. Other dates are November 9 and December 14.
