Discovery Arts Academy of Cary is looking for a Visual Arts Instructor to teach the week of August 19-23. Instructor will teach a group of students ranging from ages 6-12 using a variety of fine arts media. A weeklong lesson plan is created by the instructor (which must be approved in advance by management) and is supported with supplies and resources provided by Discover Arts Academy. (Supplies are the expense of Discover Arts Academy). The lesson plan must consist of a well-planned group of fine art activities in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, etc as examples. The class hours are 9am-12noon. Instructor is required to arrive at least 30 mins. before class start time each day, and remains on-site until clean-up of the activity is complete. Instructor is paid contractually for the week a flat fee of $500. which includes all planning, set-up, class time, and clean-up. Instructor must sign a contract for the week, submit lesson plan in advance, and background checks are conducted on the candidate. Instructor must have experience teaching studio art to youth.
