Discussion last night about nutrition pre & post workout snacks. Some of you wanted the oatmeal breakfast cookie I brag about for my pre workout. I dont measure anymore and it truly doesnt matter as long as you moisten the oats. If you dont mind a grainier gritty texture I use 2 cups steel oats (1 is long cook and the other quick cook steel), mashed banana for sweetness (calls for 3, I usually use 1 or 2 max), unsweetened applesauce (sweetened if you need more), optional vanilla extract (just a few shakes), shake in cinnamon, flax seed, chia seeds...whatever you want. I have added a little almond/coconut milk but my last 2 batches were without. They will be sticky. I grab a small cookie size scoop and make a ball and place on cookie sheet and gently push it a little flat. Bake no more than 10 min. Slight brown on tips. Whether you heat this in the micro in the morning or just grab and go they are delicious. If you want even more sweetness without comprising the healthy aspect; I have drizzled 90% dark chocolate melted on top when finished and stuck them in freezer on sheet until the chocolate is hardened. At wallyworld you can buy big bars of chocolate where the candy aisle is in any percentage you want. I worked my up to the 90 because of the cocoa taste if you are not use to it. Amazing how your body adapts when you get rid of the junk. Any questions message me :)
