Discussion topic: lets get real for a second. Not every game can be the home run you want it to be. In fact, some have problems even getting to the plate. What do you think is the most disappointing game youve ever paid money for? Now, Im not asking for the worst game evar, though it can certainly be the worst game youve ever played. Im talking about the gulf between expectations and reality here. My pick is probably controversial to some, but, honestly, I dont think Ive ever been more disappointed by a game than I was by L.A. Noire. I expected a noir-tinged adventure game with a focus on police procedure, but what I got was a subpar thriller more focused on its mediocre combat than the genre it purported to resurrect. The interrogation system really did nothing for me, especially considering you would complete the mission even if you arrested the wrong guy. If it was an attempt at social commentary, it fell pretty flat, at least to me.
