#Disney #Trivia Tuesday: When the custodial staff at Tokyo Disneyland was told to clean the #HauntedMansion in preparation for the parks grand opening in 1983, all that was intended was that they pick up any leftover construction debris, anything modern not meant to be there, any obvious garbage. Instead, that diligent staff cleaned the rubber cement cobwebs, carefully stained wallpaper and heavy layers of dust that had taken Disney imagineers 3 weeks to apply, leaving the mansion looking shiny and new. The imagineers hadnt even gotten off the plane in L.A. before they were being summoned back to Tokyo to do it all over again. Now THATS a scary thought! (Yes, this is #WDWs Haunted Mansion- I dont happen to have a shot of Tokyos in my personal collection . . . yet.)
