Distance does not make the heart grow fonder. For the relationship to work one heart must move to be with the other one. Skype, Facebook and Twitter might shrink the distance in a superficial way but not in relevant meaningful way. Distance dissolves passion and hope culminating in the erosion of love. In the end social media is hollow; distance is deceptively divisive; it is unmistakable that there is no substitute for the raw closeness of a lover.
