Distribution of face masks to low income families at HKN and Gek Poh Ville CCs went on smoothly yesterday. Residents streamed in to collect the masks from 9 am. My grassroots and I also took the opportunity to walk around the food court and coffee shop to talk to residents about the haze, how they can follow the daily advisories and protect themselves as well as clear some misconceptions about the need and use of the N95 masks. We will be calling all CHAS blue card holders to collect the free masks from the CCs as well as conduct house visits for the frail and vulnerable elderly to give them the masks and teach them how to use it properly.
