Distt Admin finalises scheme for National Lok Adalat Reasi: November 15, In order to settle maximum cases under National Lok Adalat on November 23 district administration has geared up for benefitting maximum people especially litigants. Arrangements were reviewed in a meeting chaired by District Magistrate Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary where Executive Magistrates presiding various courts in the district gave a resume of cases finalised for Lok adalat and pre-sitting done with parties. Addl District Magistrate Rajinder Singh Tara, Asstt Commissioner Revenue Tilak Raj Shastri, ACD Joginder Singh Rai, Asstt Labour Commissioner, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars present in the meeting presented case wise details which were deliberated upon for resolving in Lok Adalat. Six benches have been constituted for the purpose. District bench will be comprised of District Magistrate and two Addl District Magistrates, Asstt Commissioner Development and Assistant Labour Commissioner; SDM Mahore will be head of Mahore bench, one bench each at Arnas, Pouni, Katra, and Reasi will be comprised of Tehsildar, BDO and Naib Tehsildar. Lok Adalat benches will have officers from Judiciary, Executive and concerned departments. Line departments have been directed for all assistance for smooth conduct of Lok Adalat. Mutation Cases, Revenue Cases, MGNREGA Payment issues, cases under section 107/151 CrPC, Labour cases, Disaster compensation and other miscellaneous cases have been listed for resolution in Lok Adalat for which notices were served and pre-sitting conducted. Hundreds of cases are expected to be resolved by presiding officers, for which a month long process has been carried out for awareness of parties and also legal process.Category wise classification of cases was done for consideration of Lok Aadalat. Arrangements were also discussed in a meeting between District Magistrate and District & Sessions Judge Y P Kotwal wherein it was decided that High Court and Revenue Secretariat will be appraised about the final list of cases on November 18. Rural Development Department and Revenue Department have played active role in reaching out to parties for making Lok Adalat a success.
