Divine Command Theory is Psychopathic The Euthyphro Dilemma is as follows: 1. Does God command things because they are good? Or; 2. Is anything he commands good by virtue of him having commanded it? Believers are psychologically coerced to avoid the first proposition because it means that their omnipotent creator is subject to a higher moral power, and therefore not omnipotent. The result is nothing short of psychopathic thinking, for they believe that any atrocious act committed by their god, whether in the Bible or in real life, is a good thing.
