Divinely Edited SCRIPTURE READING: GENESIS 1: 26-31 FOCUS: “And God said, Let us make man in our image…” (Genesis 1: 26). . In modern day photography, when an image is captured with a camera, the image is edited. The process of editing removes the imperfections in the object. If the image is that of a human being who has skin blemishes, the process of editing could remove the blemishes and present an impeccable image that is better than the object. Notice that in our Focal Scripture, God said, “Let us make man in our image”. So God often removes the blemishes that will stop man from being a good version of His image. God picks up an imperfect man, and takes away the imperfections that are not needed in man in order to make the man look more like Himself. Friend, ask God to work on you to make you better; ask God to edit you and make you more and more of His own image. Ask God to remove the blemishes on your destiny; ask God to remove the things that reduce the quality of His image in you; ask God to remove the imperfections that disqualify you from being called God’s child; ask God to remove everything in you that is not fit to be seen in someone who is made in God’s image. When God edits your image, you will turn out a better person; when God works on your areas of weakness, He makes you to become stronger; when God removes the blemishes in your personality, you will become more attractive to your generation; when God covers your weaknesses with His grace, you may still be weak but men will see God’s strength in you. If God does not work on you, the weaknesses in you will stop you and eventually truncate your destiny; submit yourself to God for editing, and you will come out a better person. Pray With Me: Lord, edit my life, work on me and make me better, in Jesus’ name!
