With vocal deliveries like Screamin Jaw Hawkins, a classy groove like James brown, and the twisted humor of the Butthole Surfers, That Handsome Devil is quite the unique band. There really is no set genre for the band as they experiment with every genre. Elephant Bones juggles a funk-rock/hip-hop groove while Rob-The-Prez-O-Dent is a punch to the face rock song with a rockabilly feel, and finally Treefood ends up sounding like a drunken French ballad. The lyrical themes tend to explore drug addiction, death, squares, and.. Mexico. Among their releases, the band covered all the songs from Disneys Jungle Book and put a rather dark and disturbing approach to the story. But its an EP you have to listen to from start to finish because it is quite the journey.
