Do ANY of you experience SOB - Yawning - Deep Sighing - POSSIBLE Chronic Hyperventilating Syndrome periods of time where you seem to have EXCESSIVE yawning, shortness-of-breath or simply CANT seem to catch your breath, *deep sighing*...you have either seen a doctor & have a diagnosis or just KNOW its not related to asthma, allergies or anxiety due to wisdom, self-elimination of presenting possible factors and STILL have a doctor prescribing inhalers, anti-anxiety meds, suggesting elimination of gluten, etc??? Thousands of dollers invested in testing, time doing EKGs, Cardio tests, repetitive breathing and chest x-rays... It can be exhausting, fatigue-ridden, stealing involvement in sports, school activities, work productivity, ability to focus on your family and yawning during Bible group study excessively can be overwhelmingly humbling... 2weeks ago, about, I started uncontrollably yawning...sighing SO deeply, trying to catch my breath by getting a FULL & COMPLETE yawn... Im feeling more & more tired, my neck, shoulders & chest muscles are even starting to hurt from yawning so much. I thought it was anxiety but upped my Buspar dosage & 0% change. Decreased my Bystolic for my Mital Valve Prolapse (heart valve issue- no worries ;) haha) and, no change. Started looking about online and ended up on medhelp where 224 others, age range 11yrs to mid-70s where experiencing OR HAVE BEEN for 20+yrs...DEAR GOD I FEEL LIKE I COULD SUFFOCATE AT TIMES its that intense BUT no wheezing, major chest pains, no sneezing, no preemptive stress or non-stop thoughts of anxiety or stressful issues. THE only stressful issue is the inability to obtain a full breath of air. Ive a few ideas before reading ppls stories on medhelp.org but I can attest to the fact that anyone dealing with this, that, if they had anxiety issues before, its sure to CAUSE one! Anywho. Relative to reasoning Ive surmised is a inadequate CO2 / Oxygen level and an unprofessional diagnosis of Chronic Hyperventilating Syndrome... I would GREATLY welcome & request of all of you your advice/knowledge/story if fitting. I did create a group for those primarily in the medhelp forum to gather but I have cardiology specialists, psychiatric specialists, multiple RNs, a couple MDs, a few journalists and maybe best, hairdressers LOL to ask there experience with/from in laymens terms. I am seriously stretched and literally in pain from muscles used to yawn...Im doing breathing exercises in thru my nose, totally exhaling, holding as long as I can then breathing slowly in again...thru my nose...resisting the urge to yawn by swallowing...its exasperating to say the least. Ive talked to my cardiologist and my physician of which I JUST had a physical...
