Do Not shy from giving dakshinas to Pundits who recite mantras for you or who come to do Pooja for you. Do not attempt to reduce their amounts which they ask for , for doing any Pooja, because if you pay a Policeman a good salary he will think 10 times before taking a bribe. Similialry if the Oundits stomach is full and his pockets are full, he would do your Mantra Jaap, Pooja Paath etc. very religiously, devotedly and with Love. Already due to the Divide and Rule Policies of our Government the Brahmin Class people have taken to vocations not befitting them.....They have lost their links to Mantras (Many of them) and also to Karm Kand processes due to lack of Yajmaans. We must do our bit in individual way to fulfill what gap has been created, so that the Prestige of this Class is restored. We normally give good amounts of donations where people see us doing the same for false prestige, but shy to pay to these people who have still maintained the Culture of India in their roots. Never haggle with a poor sabjiwaali or a Pundit. Just an appeal.........
