Do SpotFixes work? True Story No 5. The SG Palya Christ School (Bangalore) Spotfix Passes the crucial 10-Day Test! . This chronic open garbage dump and public urinal (or Black Spot) on the walls of the Christ School has now been super clean 24x7 for 10 days now (no urine or garbage) - full marks to the BBMP officers and citizens who have made it happen. If you live nearby, please confirm this is true. Pic 1: Before-After on July 26 Pic 2: Pic at 7am on July 27 Pic 3: Pic at 7am on Aug 6 Note: The local auto-drivers association has created an auto stand on this reclaimed lane and a vendor has positioned his cart exactly where the dump used to be. These are smart local solutions of reclaiming space from ugliness. The autos and vendor were here earlier too - but they encroached on the road - now they are positioned in the setback created by the electrical transformer, the entire place is clean and the road is wider for traffic. Total win-win for all. Note to Cynics: Have faith. Those who work on spotfixes (anonymously) are very committed sincere people who want to solve real problems. These are not photo-ops, they do not want credit, they want to find real solutions to real problems. There were many who doubted whether this spotfix would last, we hope they get a little optimistic now:)
