Do not be afraid, says the Lord. Do not be afraid. Have I failed to accomplish my promises to you? Have your days on Earth come to an end yet? Have I no ears, no eyes, and no mouth to answer thee? I have promised and never go back on my word. I remain the same-I never change. Remain in in me and I will remain in you. Make your abode in me and I will be like rushing rivers to your soul. My mercy will encompass you all of your days. My favor upon you will be incessant. The talons of sin and death no longer have hold over you. I came to your rescue, and did not stop until it was able to say: it is accomplished. I came to your rescue and delivered you from the hands of the enemy. I came while you were yet a sinner, because I saw the heart that was behind the sin. I saw my son, my daughter. I saw my friend, the apple of my all seeing eye. I came to reconcile you back to me. I saw how you suffered within the desert. Your ribs called out to me for manna. Out of Heaven I saw your countenance: starved, meager, and vulnerable. I have come to restore you back to me. To make you whole. With all your trust, confide in me. With all your hope, look up to me. Do not be afraid for I am the end and the beginning. Your life is in my hands. Be still and know that I am the Lord.
