Do not be deceived by Rapture preachers. Who are the “Elect”? Will they be here during the tribulation of the Antichrist? Is the true church still on earth during the tribulation of the false Christ (antichrist) or will they be raptured up to some cloud somewhere and sit out the spiritual battle? The elect of God are those who know the truth and they are from the churches which know the truth. They are not in the mindset of believing false rapture doctrine. The true church will be ready to stand against the false Christ (antichrist) and witness to the world. Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the ELECTS sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the ELECT . KJV “False Christs” in verse 22 in Greek is “a spurious Messiah” which means a false or a fake Messiah. The elect will not be seduced by “the spurious Messiah”. God has even shortened the time of the false Christs tribulation of deception for the sake of the elect. Now ask yourself, if there was truly going to be a rapture to fly off onto a cloud somewhere, why would God shorten the tribulation for the elects sake? The elect are the church and they will be here to fight against the deception of the false Christ (antichrist). Our gathering to Christ does not happen until after the tribulation of the false Christ (antichrist, the son of perdition) just as it is stated in 2 Thess 2. 2 Thess 2:1-4 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, ….Verse 1 sets the subject. The subject is our gathering to Christ…. 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. ….Paul wrote the 1st letter to the Thessalonians and perhaps back then some were confused by 1 Thess 4:15-17 just as some are confused today and preach “rapture”…. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; ….Don’t be deceived or misunderstand about when it is that Christ comes to gather us. It’s not going to happen until AFTER a “falling away” and the “son of perdition” is revealed. “Falling away” in the Greek text, which our KJV comes from, is the word “Apostasia” and it means apostasy. Apostasy means to fall away from or turn from one’s faith. Christians will commit “apostasia” when they are deceived into believing that the son of perdition (Satan as the Antichrist or “false Christ”) is God or Christ… 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. KJV ….And of course in verse 4 the son of perdition (Satan as the false Christ) stand in Jerusalem in the temple claiming to be God…. So what we have here is: 1. Christ will be gathering us to him. 2. However, that is not going to happen until after the son of perdition (Satan as the false Christ, Antichrist) stands in the temple in Jerusalem claiming to be God. This causes the church to commit the Apostasy. They will be worshiping the wrong Christ. Most will not realize their mistake until after the real Christ returns. 3. Only then will the real Christ gather his faithful believers to him, and not until then, which is after Satan’s tribulation at the 7th trump which is the “Last trump” which is the “Trump of God”. 1 Cor 15:52 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump : for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. KJV 1 Thess 4:16-17 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God : and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. KJV Rev 11:13-15 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. KJV ….The last trump, the trump of God and the 7th trump are all the same trump…. Matt 24:29-30 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. KJV ….Again, when does this happen? It happens “After the tribulation of those days”….
