Do not be like the people that Peter refers to at the end of this chapter. Do not become entangled again in the wickedness of the world, but even if you already have, return to Christ and be cleansed by the sacrifice of His own life that He made for you on the Cross. The time of His return approaches quickly and we must be prepared. The message of today is just as it was at the time of His first coming - Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. 2 Peter 2 (NLT) 20 And when people escape from the wicked ways of the world by learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up with sin and become its slave again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the right way to live than to know it and then reject the holy commandments that were given to them. 22 They make these proverbs come true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and "A washed pig returns to the mud."
