Do not call yourself an artist if youre not willing to dedicate most of your time and thought to your art. Beethoven was deaf... Still wrote some of the most innovative and beautiful music of his time. Your excuses are invalid as to why you cannot practice and devote time to your art. It has been said that it takes 10000 hours of dedicated practice to become an expert in any field. If this is true and you practiced for 2 hours a day, every day, it would take you 5000 days to become an expert. Thats almost 14 years. Dedicate yourself to your art. And love what you do because if you do not, you will look back on all that wasted time and think to yourself, why? Why did I waste so much time on Facebook, watching tv or being lazy? If you lack the dedication and motivation it takes to make an artistic impression on the world, do the world a favor and do not water down the worlds art with your lackluster work. Our time here is fleeting. Real artists push boundaries. Real artists are the innovators. Real artists are the ones that did things because they werent easy. Real artists are motivated. Real artists can see the bigger picture. Real artists do not have excuses. Real artists prioritize their art. Real artists are hard to come by these days.
