Do not oppose God Oppose- op•posed, op•pos•ing. 1. to act against or provide resistance to; combat. 2. to stand in the way of; hinder; obstruct. 3. to set as an opponent or adversary. 4. to be hostile or adverse to, as in opinion: to oppose a resolution in a debate. 5. to set as an obstacle or hindrance. Do not oppose God. Stop trying to modify God’s order, plan for your life. He calls us to do His will, we are called to serve the Lord, there is no grey area, it’s black- (darkness, death) and white- (purity, light) the grey is a mix of human and demonic elements to compensate for lack of wanting to choose a side, so in a sense I guess this grey area is supposed to make it ok to straddle the fence. You can’t straddle the fence, you will either serve the Lord, or you will oppose the Lord and choose to serve satan, you’re either a child of the most high God, or you’re of your father the devil. Just do what you’re called to do, not what you think is best, and certainly don’t just do what you want to do. To be a friend to this world is to be an enemy to God. It’s black and white, no grey. Some ways we end up opposing God is….. To strive to gain material wealth, is to strive to live independently from God- storing up wealth where rust and moth destroy. Thinking what you have been able to gather is more than enough, no need for God, no room for God. If He wants you to be wealthy in this world, He would grant it to you from His unlimited wealth supply, He is the King of all kings and Lord of lords!!! He can supply, provide, and meet any and all needs, you would not have to do corrupt, evil, or anything that is against God to get it. To strive for more and more pleasure, is to resist presenting yourself to God as one approved a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but rightly handles the word of truth. You would willingly entertain a greedy spirit, a lustful spirit, a spirit that always desire something, these spirits would seek self- gratification and self-elevation, you will become heady and high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. You will refuse the giving and loving spirit that would seek to serve God and others, you will choose pleasure over God. To strive to be important, have power and influence, is to seek to have control over others, to elevate yourself above God and all others, this lust for power spirit will make you think (to be humble is to be weak) so you will refuse to humble yourself, we are to ask the Lord to renew a right spirit in us, so that It would be God who others see in us, God who has all power, God who is important, and God who influence us. God wants us to hold others in higher esteem than ourselves, lifting others up, helping those who are often forgotten. By allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us, through us, by allowing the Holy Spirit to be the power that drives us, God’s power will be shown!!! It will be our Lord and Savior that influence, that shines and that has all power, Glory be to God!!! I too am guilty of much, but by the grace of God I have turn from the wickedness that put enmity between me and the Lord, I stopped opposing God, I am a new creature in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!! Thank you Jesus!!!! Much love Majxsty
