Do the math New Zealand. Wages arent linked to your consumer price index (inflation). Unions were all but destroyed 25 years ago. Last year wages increased 1.5% while inflation was 4%. Every time this happens you infact take a 2.5 % pay decrease. Multiply that by 25 years? It should be illegal to call any wage rise thats less than inflation an increase! Call it what it is... congratulations we the board after careful assessment and giving ourselfs a salery increase of 5% can give you the worker a wage cut of 2.5% because inflation is at 4%!
