Do we need an explanation for the existence of our universe? Could - TopicsExpress

Do we need an explanation for the existence of our universe? Could the universe have possibly remained nonexistent if the conditions or state of nothingness were different, and if so, does this bespeak then it had a cause for beginning and now has a cause for sustenance? Are the ideas of the universe being causeless or not causeless connected to contingent propositions? Search for contingent propositions on Wikipedia. Does each distinguishable part and thing of nature and reality have contingent existences? Did each distinguishable part and thing of nature and reality have the possibility of nonexistence, and if so, does this bespeak that there was a time when nothing existed? Are contingent entities insufficient for begetting contingent entities, thereby bespeaking a supreme necessary entity (ultimate first cause) with a nonexistence that is impossible which therefrom all sentient entities and inanimate objects and materials emanate?
