Do we prefer to embrace the village or herd-like mentality or choose to abandon this for healthy nation building to oneness?. I personally believe that regardless of heritage, individually we can all contribute what we have within us...it may necessarily be viewed by critics as through the lens of civilization... but its known as culture. Culture is graceful and has the finest attributes that shapes our worldview. Once we have built trust and see that we are respected by others as individuals, we tend to fuse and blend the attributes of neighbouring cultures to colour our lives very beautiful. No ones culture is superuser or inferior to the other. We cant give what we dont have but the little we have can also teach others what glues us together as one community and doesnt splinter or fragment us. That doesnt imply that we think as a herd but that we are One People within the context of our community as long as we dont shun or look down on others or give them derogatory tags. Its not called tribalism to speak as a united people, its called unity. The art is to transfer this attribute in the broader context and assimilate a common national vision without losing our individuality is an achievement that takes us higher from thinking on the village level to where we think outside of that context. We then start the process of nation building, become known as a nation instead of bearing individual tribal tags or a tyranny of fools. Nation building must take precedence over tribal enclaves. Its indeed a leap of faith..
