Do white people speak seSotho or isiZulu or xiVenda nor isiXhosa - TopicsExpress

Do white people speak seSotho or isiZulu or xiVenda nor isiXhosa to their children at home? I dont think so, but why do we continuously speak to our children in a tongue that comes with foreign mannerisms and disrespect to our indigenous customs? This really grinds my gears. Even our proud traditional leader condones this by not seeing himself as African, it seems we are more colonized than we think. Contrary to popular belief in many of our homes speaking English doesnt make you smart or an intellectual, if anything it magnifies how ordinary you are since we live in an English speaking country though what makes you smart is to respect yourself and educate yourself about yourself, so that white people can see you in that light and treat you with respect, that is Black Consciousness. In brother Malcolms words, this is not black supremacy, its black intelligence. So we must seriously look to our own to overcome this struggle of decolonization, which will soon become violent if the constitution remains unchanged. Mak Manaka
