Do you believe in angels? When I was in labor with Stephen, I remember laying across the bed exhausted and frightened. I prayed, knowing that the pain would not go away, but that God would give me strength to finish. Mom was in the kitchen and thought I must be through because I got so quite. (Im a screamer). I had a calm feeling come over me....it felt like 4 corners were being pulled around me, lifting me and carrying the pain for me. For the last decade, Ive prayed for angels in groups of 4. Today our family made the decision to pull Lydia Mae from the contraptions that were keeping her body working. We filled the house. The staff treated us so kindly and with such compassion. COURAGE showed up first to hold us together. DIGNITY followed and swept over Lydia quickly and quietly. STRENGTH pulled the spirit from a wore out body and the broken hearts of all of us. Finally Lydia had her eye on the prize....our familys most beautiful angel. Golden hair and owl like blue eyes. Lydia reached for Theresas hand as she let go of our grasp. Do you hear her giggle tonight? Blessed art thou amongst women Lydia Dobecka. Thank you all so much for the comfort you have sent to us this week. We feel so loved.
