Do you ever believe in Guardian Angels? I do and I have always have and will do the day that I pass. I know I have experience an angel tapping me on the shoulder. I believe I have that experience yesterday. I was driving up Route 9 on my way to Concord. I was just about to cross the intersection and head onto Route 202 and I got a very funny feeling in my gut, some type of warning not to continue on to Concord. So I stop my vehicle got out and checked it. Got back into my vehicle and started back on the road to Concord but my whole body got heavy, I got the feeling that today was not the day to challenge fate so never made that intersection I just pulled a U-turn and headed home. I was about 12 miles from home, going up the hill at a little more than 60 MPH when I hear a loud noise and the front of my vehicle just drop. I looked out the side window and I saw my front driver’s side tire speeding up the road it crossed the highway went up the side of the hill, came down and cross the highway in front of me and going to the side of the opposite hill coming down the hill and ended up about 150 yards in front of me. The woman in the car behind hind me came up to me and asked me if I was already and told me she couldn’t believe that I was able to maintain complete control of the vehicle and get it to the side of the road. She asked me if I was hurt I told her no. If I had refused to follow the taps on my shoulder I would have been going at least 70 mph down interstate 89 when the wheel would have come off. I would have been in heavy traffic not only could I have been seriously injured or worse so could have a number of other people. Now that the adrenaline has worn off I am sore as hell. Most likely will be for a few more days but otherwise I am doing OK and no one else was hurt. I learned long time ago that no matter what we always have at least second when if we made a different decision we could have avoid a painful experience. Think me foolish, but I believe we all have a Guardian Angel but I think the vast majority of us find a reason not to listen and end up paying a high and painful cost. Yesterday I was given to opportunities to change my path and today I am truly glad that I did.
