Do you ever feel like you are just treading water? My modem died yesterday so I got up early and went to the cable company to get a new one. Got the new modem, installed it, was online for about an hour when the modem lost its connection. Checked everything, no luck. Put away the laptop and turned on the TV to try and forget about the modem for a while. NO cable there either! OK, the city was out lopping off tree branches. Best guess, they cut the cable. Couldnt stand it so I took a nap. Woke up at 1 PM, still no cable TV or internet. Went back to bed. Woke at 4:30 PM, still nothing. I flipped channels. Three stations had still images. Most stations were not on at all but, luckily, PBS was working which meant I could watch the genealogy program I like at 8PM, That actually felt like a bonus! Sometime after 5PM, the cable was back, both TV and internet! I was thrilled but, being a bit of a pessimist at times, I thought why am I so excited about getting what I have paid for (sigh). Life is full of Ups and Downs and for me, at this time in my life, they seem to be much Higher and much Lower. Oh well, things happen, on to the next Thing.
