Do you ever feel like you can not make it through a workout or your muscles feel like mush? Many people try to eliminate carbs all together when trying to lose weight. Many carbs should be eliminated but there are rules when working out and "fueling" through a workout. Here is a little breakdown of when and what you should be eating during as part of a training regimen. Light low intensity and less than an hour: No regard for timing. Eat light carbs throughout the day. Choose sources such as yogurts, fruits, oats. Medium Intensity: Steady and up to an hour a day: Eat one to 3 hours before workouts. Avoid whole grains an hour before to avoid stomach issues. High Intensity: One to three hours: Take 30 to 60 grams 1 to 3 hours prior and within an hour after 4 to 1 mix of carbs and protein to repair and replenish glycogen stores. Enjoy Your Day!!
