Do you have a Zinc/Copper Imbalance? Elevated copper and low - TopicsExpress

Do you have a Zinc/Copper Imbalance? Elevated copper and low zinc has been linked to postnatal depression, ADHD, anxiety and insomnia. Low zinc means you might be prone to depression, anxiety, insomnia, & contribute to an impaired immune system.Zinc and copper complete with each other for absorption, and high oestrogen levels raise copper levels in the body. So, if your copper is high (which is common for women on the Pill, during pregnancy & breastfeeding) your zinc is most likely low; and if you suffer from PMS, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids and other oestrogen-dominant conditions, your zinc might be lowered too. Monitor your ratios with a blood test and supplement (if necessary) specifically for you!
