Do you know the Lord? (I) "Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, nor had the word of the LORD yet been revealed to him." (1 Samuel 3:7). The scenario above depict the situation of most people in the church today. The church today is filled with people who either do not have a relationship with God or what they have going between them and God is so shallow that it cannot be termed " a relationship". A lot are only interested in rendering service in the house of God but do not know the God of the house. Our study character in scripture above was already a church worker but was yet to know the Lord. God is not interested in a master/ servant relationship with you. As good as working in the church may be, He is more interested in you have an intimate relationship with Him. Am not talking of knowledge based on what your pastor says but knowledge born out of an intimate relationship with your maker. You can imagine if Eli was not sincere enough to tell Samuel what to do. My assignment this morning is to challenge you to a deeper relationship with the Father of Spirit in whom there is no darkness at all. I pray that God will create an hunger for Him in the inside of you in the mighty name of Jesus.
